Mountain Lakes and Canyons Tour
fromThis fascinating tour focuses on the lakes, canyons and waterfalls for which Banff and Yoho National Parks are so well known. It winds along the picturesque Bow Valley Parkway with a short hike up Johnston Canyon where participants walk through a short cave to get close enough to feel the spray of a powerful waterfall.
Continuing along the parkway, we wind our way to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. From Lake Louise, we travel to British Columbia and Yoho National Park over the infamous Kicking Horse Pass. The next stop is Takakkaw Falls, one of the highest in Canada, where the meltwater of the Daly Glacier thunders over a narrow lip. Finally, we visit Emerald Lake for a final picture-perfect mountain lake before returning to Banff.

This full-day excursion showcases the many lakes and waterfalls in Banff and Yoho National Parks. You’ll want to plan lunch en route.
We’re happy to offer packed lunches for a cost of $25/lunch. Each includes homemade sandwiches, canned soft drinks, fudge, cookie, and a piece of fruit.
If you’re in a private vehicle, there are places to stop for lunch. Larger group tours though are more limited and the box lunches have worked out well in this case.
